Make a difference in how we treat blood clotting issues
Bradley 5 Charitable Fund Inc. Non for profit 501(C3) Planting the seed of Education in early development . 1,500,000 people who live in Indiana are under the age of 18 years of age, which calculates to 1/4 of our state’s population. Indiana is ranked 14th in the nation of child population. With that in mind, doesn't it seem appropriate that we as adults make an extra investment in our children's future? Children with a qualifying college savings plan, regardless of the amount in that account, are 4 times more likely to graduate from college than someone without a savings plan. With less than 30% of our Indiana youth having a college plan, it seems like we have a void to fill. Bradley 5 Charitable Fund is made up of two different areas of interest. #1 Goal of our 501 (3c) non for profit fund is driven to raise funds for blood clotting research. Present and future goals will include various types of fund raising events. Only limited to one’s imagination.
#2 Goal is to invest wisely in the youth of our communities. As a non typical non for profit organization, we believe that investing in our youth to secure successful education is of the utmost importance. We believe that the earlier you invest in the youth, the better chance you will have for success. The concept of investing in a first grade student makes sense in that the family will encourage the student throughout his educational experience. Investing $500 into a twelve year annuity, making the child in first grade the beneficiary makes sense that at the end of the twelve year term, it should grow conservatively to $1500. Throughout the life of the annuity, family members and friends may contribute to the fund. The qualifying college 529 plan will only be distributed to the student after he/she is enrolled in a post high school training program or college of their choice. If for some reason the student does not enroll, all proceeds of fund return to an account at B5C for further scholarship funding. The process would or could be as simple as choosing the student by means of a lottery type drawing. The Bradley 5 Charitable Fund would participate and assist in any fund raising events or programs that would include any type of school sponsored event or program.
The school corporation may participate in any of the fund raising efforts for the Plant the Seed program. This giving ownership not only to B5C, but would have a partial ownership in funds raised from school events. All proceeds from fundraising would be directly distributed as decided on by the governing board to students who are chosen for program. The governing board for fundraising should consist of at least two members from B5C, and three members that are appointed by the school corporation. The goal is to evenly distribute all monies to each elementary school within the Wa-Nee School Corporation. Outside donations to build the program should be solicited to public stake holders within the State of Indiana
